Where can I find a metal pendant?

I am looking for a metal pendant I can use to make a necklace. I have seen these really cute necklaces and I would like to try to make one. The ones I have seen are in the shapes of squares, circles & hearts. They have silver beads along the edge & are about 1/4″ deep, just enough to glue beads in them. The pendant will be flat in the middle with nothing in it. Is there a website or a store here in Lubbock that I find some?

You may be looking for things like “pendant trays,” cabachon settings, charm blanks, bead frames, photo “Italian charms,” etc. Various people and manufacturers have given them different names.
Not all will have silver beads along the edge though.

Some people put photos in them too (covered with thin layer of clear epoxy resin, or clear fingernail polish, or even a dimensional white glue like Diamond Glaze, etc.), or even put polymer clay in them.

You may find those at craft and even scrapbooking stores, but there’ll be a lot more online at jewelry and craft suppliers, etsy and probably e-bay, etc.

If you can’t find them locally but want to play around with the idea, you can make your own polymer clay “trays” (then make them look like metal**) and use those.
Or, lots of kids these days are using metal bottlecaps in the same way.
